Me Too Event

Updated: Sep 17, 2022

The first ever “Me Too” Event went well!  Here’s a picture of the collaborating Minnesota abortion recovery Directors who attended.  Left to right.  Nancy Blom (Rachel’s Vineyard),  Tracie Rademacher (Silent No More MN & Surrendering The Secret),  Pastor Paula Ellefson (Rich in Mercy),  Cathy Goggin (Conquerors),  Kathy Kawell (Project Healing),  Julie Bashore (Healing Hearts), and me, Julie Weber (Liberate Ministries).  About 65 women attended.  Kim Ketola, author, host and executive producer of Cradle My Heart Radio and book, was the keynote speaker.  Kim shared her personal story of a past abortion and encouraged the women to walk in the freedom Christ provided for them at the cross and to be the fragrance of Christ to others who are suffering after abortion.  Kim also sang a wonderful song and everyone at the conference received one of her award winning books and music CD’s.  After Kim spoke there was an open microphone time.  Women were encouraged to share about their healing from their past abortions or any new inspirations after hearing Kim’s story.    Tammy Kocher, Executive Director of New Life Family Services first heard of this type of Me Too Event through Tim Welsh, Director of Pregnancy Divisions Health Center (PDHC) out of Ohio.  There was a positive response from the Me Too Event they did in 2016.  They invited New Life Family Services to join them and host a Me Too Event along side them.   Together Tammy and Cathy Goggin, Conquerors Program Manager worked together to help bring this first ever type of event to the Twin Cities.  It was a luncheon that was held on the University of Northwestern St. Paul campus.  It was great to collaborate in unity with them along with the other abortion recovery ministries, in bringing women together to celebrate their freedom and forgiveness from past abortions.
